LA PLACE & STREETSTAR SESSIONS – is a collaboration between Swedish Street Star and the French La Place to present a wide range of aesthetic and artistic expression and to state that hip hop culture has a place in public stage. The performance has been developed especially for the Stockholm Culture Festival which in 2016 has a French theme. The idea is to create a meeting between the urban culture in Sweden and France for the inspiration and development for future cooperation between the Swedish and French urban dance scene.
LA PLACE & STREETSTAR SESSIONS – Paris and Stockholm at the Stockholm Cultural Festival with the flavor of Hip hop Culture based on a unique collaboration between urban street dancers, DJ’s and MC’s from Paris and Stockholm.
On stage, meet four French and three Swedish established urban dancers, each with their own personal expression and style. A new choreographic works created by dancers base of the experience of the street scene in the Hip Hop culture. The music mixed live by a French DJ and MC for the show. The performance is unique and is based on the dancers; DJ’s and MC’s improvisations, with different rhythms that inspire and challenge on the scene.
In the second act we will present a freestyle battles with the french and the swedish dancers of the showcase teamed up together with local dancers from Stockholm. It will be a positive exchange with all dance styles together on stage. The audience will be the judge of the winners of the evening.

La Place – Paris
La Place in Paris is the first hip-hop culture center in France that aims to bring hip hop recognized and developed in all its forms ; dance, DJ’ing , Rap , Music, Graffiti ,Film and Fashion. The Department has eight studios with a concert stage with a capacity for 400 visitors and dance scene with capacity for 100 visitors. The grand opening will be in fall of 2016.http://www.laplace.paris/
The project is in collaboration with Institut Francaise and Stockholm Kultur Festival and with support of Stockholms Kulturförvaltning, Kulturrådet, Marie De Paris.

Artistic director of B. Supreme since 2014, teacher of House in London since 2013 and dancer at the Olympic Games opening ceremony, Clara has toured the world as a dancer and choreographer. Performing in battles and on the main stages of venues in three continents, Clara is admired for her athletic, versatile and original style as well as the passion she shares in her performances and workshops.
VIKTOR FRÖJD
Dancer / Choreographer
Viktor has a bachelor degree in dance pedagogics with his major being in street dance at the University of Dance and Circus in Stockholm.
Viktor is working both as a dance performer and choreographer. His performances Tugg and Sort of In-between has premiered at The House of Dance in Stockholm and been touring all over Sweden. He is also the organizer of the Lighthouse Battles in Stockholm.
NIKI “AWANDEE” TSAPPOS
Dancer / MC
Niki is a well known dancer in the battle scene, she is constantly representing Sweden at international dance events. Her unique views and expression is being recognized and appreciated all over the world. She frequently travels to share her vision and movement through workshops, performances, lectures, battles.
Niki also has a starring role in the film ”Martha & Niki” with great success in cinemas throughout Sweden and Worldwide.
Recently she extended her artistry from the dance floor towards the microphone. On the mic she goes by the name Niki Awandee.
DIDIER “TIJO AIME” FIRMIN
Dancer / DJ
Tijo Aimé is known for exploring the evolution of Culture Club through the world of music and dance. Known as always being on the cutting edge of underground music, he specialises in spinning deep house while blending styles from NYC, Detroit, Berlin and London. He has performed in Japan, London and France as a DJ and participated in international events such as Juste Debout (FR), Street Star (SE), House Dance Conference and many more.
IDA “INXI” HOLMLUND
Dancer
Dancer , choreographer and teacher from Finland. Have gone Åsa Folkhögskolas dance courses Five Styles and One Style, and the Juste Debout School in Paris. Has been in Finland So You Think You Can Dance. Participates and judging various battles in Sweden and internationally. Winner of eg SDK Female Hip Hop Battle in Stockholm, Street Star Vogue Femme and Women’s Vogue Latex Ball in New York in 2015.
Ida is in the dance crew Majeko and in the House of Prodigy .
ANTOINETTE GOMIS
Dancer
Dancer, choreographer, teacher and model Antoinette Gomis is a leading dancer in the French street dance scene. She has won street dance competitions internationally, modeled for Nike and Adidas, and has danced professionally along the side of artists such as Madonna in in productions of Cirque de Soleil with Salah. Antoinette is a multifaceted performer and is known for her individual style and charisma.
PHILIPPE “PHYSS” ALMEIDA
Dancer
A former dancer with Mariah Carey, Tom Jones and MC Solaar, Philippe ‘Physs’ Almeida is one of the most respected and influential figures of the modern French hip-hop culture whose teaching, performing, choreographing brings the values of hip hop all over the world. Active both as a choreographer and dancer, Physs has performed in battles, large scale choreographed performances and has won competitions at Juste Debout (FR), Dance Delight (Japan), the American International Hip Hop Festival and many more.
